Phillip Maggs is the Director of Generative AI Excellence. That means he's charged with spearheading the Gen AI transformation of Superside's creative services, testing new tools and processes and being a subject matter expert. In his own words, Maggs is "good at new things." With decades under his belt as a creative technologist, there's no one we trust more to push Superside in new and exciting directions.
You’ve done everything right—nailed the prompt, tweaked every reference, crossed your fingers. And still, out of 1,000 AI-generated images, maybe five are usable.
Here’s the truth: AI doesn’t know your brand.
You’ve got a set of brand icons—and now you need more. A lot more. Your lifestyle image library? Decent. But not quite right for the idea you’ve got in mind. And, at this point, you’re pretty sure your customers are playing bingo with all the recycled shots.
AI is fast and efficient. But most off-the-shelf image and illustration tools (foundation models) are trained on generic data. You can prompt them and share samples. You’ll get close—but never close enough.
How will generative AI impact creativity?
If you work in the creative industry, chances are you’ve given this question some thought over the past year. Chances are you’ve been through a gamut of emotions too, from fear and skepticism to intrigue and excitement.
We’re in the golden age of combining creative workflows with AI. But scroll through LinkedIn or gather around the proverbial water cooler, and you’ll often hear about how “transformative” AI is without getting any hard facts about who’s using it or how.
Let’s fix that.
What if I told you AI has saved Superside customers almost $300K in a little over three months?
Since launching our pilot program for AI-enhanced creative in mid-August of 2023, we’ve been on a mission to extract as much value out of this technology as possible for our customers.
